Technology Building Blocks
Hey Team - How’s it going? We’ve come to the next and last section (for now) of the white paper.
As we've written this white paper, a theme we’ve been trying to maintain is providing the different research areas we’ve drawn inspiration from or have been building on top of. For instance, in the Collective Intelligence section, we showed examples of how Collective Intelligence is already being used, and how the translates to a part of the Govrn Solution.
In this section, we want to take that same lens but now talk about the Technological themes and building blocks we’re using for Govrn.
Why we’re PUMPED about this section
It’s this exact combination of academia and technology experimentation that excites us so much. One provides the context of how to think of ideas, and the other provides the way to actually build and materialize those ideas.
In this section, we talk about how DAOs, Distributed Version Control, Blockchain, and the principles in Open Source, help us build the future we’ve spoken about in previous sections.
We believe all of these structures help to think of governance in a new and improved way. These structures reflect current trends and demands for Government to be more transparent and participatory.
Now Go Dive In
Dive in and let us know your thoughts. We’ve already had people comment with ideas and concerns, such as how reliance on technology or technology-enabled governance could lead to a technocracy. Come help us figure out what we’re missing.
If you’re not familiar with these topics, that’s OK. We’ve included links to learn more about each, and we’re always around in our Discord if you want to jump in and ask questions.
