The newest update to our White Paper is now live. It outlines existing research and innovations surrounding data-driven governance and how Govrn contributes to this conversation.
Two New Process Updates
Github Collaboration - We are going to use Github for our collaboration on this section. We think it will enable contributions to be more robust, as well as give contributors something tangible to show their contributions. Link: Here
We know this is a new process for many, we will be posting additional guides directly in the Github repo as well as in our Discord. If you have questions, come ask us in Discord.
Group Library Hours - Taking community feedback from our community call during the last section, we are going to have a group reading and editing time on Tuesday at 2 PM PDT/ 5 PM EDT. We’ll be meeting in the discord for the party.
Here’s an excerpt from the section:
“Right now, there are open data portals, but there’s no open marketplace to signal demand for data that isn’t yet available or adequate. OBDs present an opportunity for constituents, experts, and government officials to place societal value on data and spur proactive open data stewardship. ”
One of the best aspects of Govrn is the community and collaboration that we’ve experienced. If you want to get in on the action, join us in editing the latest section of the White Paper and come to our community calls!
Want even more things Govrn? Join our Discord Server where the conversation never stops! Ask questions and get answers about how we work, inform members of the like-minded people about governance projects, and get to know members of the Govrn community from all over the world.
